Clearly state the main objective or purpose of the project from a business standpoint.

List the high-level goals or business objectives the project aims to achieve.

2.2. Out-of-Scope

Mention any related objectives that won't be addressed in the current phase or initiative.

3. Business Justification

Describe the business rationale for the project. This could include market opportunities, customer needs, competitive analysis, or any other business drivers.

4. Approval & Sign-off

Space for key stakeholders and the product owner to sign off on the BRD, ensuring alignment on the business objectives.

This step should lead to some team brainstorming. There are always multiple paths, and multiple trade offs. This is the time to document the various approaches that can be taken, and start listing out questions that need to be answered for various approaches.
